The Trumpet Blasted. It was in the blink of an eye that I was lifted up. Cast forth from the world and lifted up to unbelievable heights. And there were many others. We knew almost instinctively what was happening. And we weren’t afraid. At the time I was in my kitchen cooking dinner. And then I was gone.

Lifted up to dizzying heights. But there was no fear. I was hovering above the world, and it now seemed so small. So insignificant.

The Throne of God was as high as a mountain. And seated at Almighty God’s right hand, was the King of Kings. And the Spirit of God was everywhere. The atmosphere was bursting with happiness and everyone was praising the Almighty. Shouts of Alleluia and Amen were ringing in my ears. And I was shouting the loudest. And jumping up and down.

The Throne of God was as high as a mountain. And seated at Almighty God’s right hand, was the King of Kings. And the Spirit of God was everywhere. I had been transformed. Changed in an instant, and no longer shackled to an earthly body. I radiated Light. And the Light was scented with the perfume of Love and Peace.

I knew I was Saved.

O, when the Saints go marching in,

O, when the Saints go marching in.

Lord, I want to be in that number

when the Saints go marching in.

I thirsted for nothing. I lacked for nothing. The cobwebs dissipated. The confusion subsided. I now had a peace of mind and happiness that transcended even my happiest times in my earthly life.

And I never felt so strong, so powerful. So secure. All the darkness was gone. Left behind. It all died with a world that was doomed to Perish. But I survived. I left that doomed world Alive.

There was nothing of that world that I left behind. Nothing of that world that I needed. Nothing of that world that mattered to me anymore. All ties were severed, and there was nothing that I didn’t know.

Life was no longer a dance with the unknown. Life’s unpredictability was no longer a canvas I painted on with uncertainty. It was no longer a tapestry woven of doubts and fears. And I was no longer a sojourner in a foreign land. An outcast.

I had been set free from the cocoon of the world. I was now what I was born to be from the beginning of time. And was basking in the Glory of God’s Light.

Every word ever uttered to me I remembered. Every thought that people thought about me I knew. I no longer needed to unravel mysteries. To second guess myself. Nothing was hidden from me. Every deed and misdeed was known.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping and gnashing of teeth, But not me.

Every science and mystery about life I knew. All the hidden secrets from the beginning of time unraveled right before my very eyes. Every mathematical equation, just child’s play. I was basking in a new reality. One of awesome power and might. Light poured from me.

To my left and right there were countless others. All radiating Light. I was so powerful and knowledgeable that I felt like I was about to burst. I had become a son of God.

The Throne of God was as high as a mountain. And seated at Almighty God’s right hand, was the King of Kings. And the Spirit of God was everywhere. Excited Christians were singing and dancing.

And even the Angels that were interspersed in the crowd, were cheering. They bowed down before me. For it was not they, but Christians like me, that a share of His Kingdom was promised to.

Seated upon the throne was one whose appearance was similar to that of jasper and carnelian, and surrounding it was a rainbow that looked like an emerald.

Encircling the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. I was amazed at what I was witnessing. All of us bowed down. .

O when they gather ’round the throne,

O when they gather ’round the throne,

Lord, I want to be in that number

when they gather ’round the throne.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. But not me.

I looked about and saw such a multitude of people, such a vast array, that it was like a sea of sand. And like me, they were all radiating Light.

The Throne of God was as high as a mountain. And from it, emanated such Light that it was hard to see. And yet, I could see. Seated at Almighty God’s right hand, was the King of Kings. And the Helper was there.

Interspersed throughout the crowd of radiant Light were Angels, and they bowed down before me. For it was not they, but Christians like me, that Jesus, Almighty God, Suffered and Died for.

You could hear a pin drop.

Scrolls were being opened, and everyone remained silent. One was the book of life. The dead were judged according to their deeds, as were recorded in the scrolls.

To my left, and in an abyss and chasm so wide, that I couldn’t see where it ended, were silhouettes enveloped in darkness.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. But not me.

From the darkness, I heard Souls pleading for mercy, pleading for forgiveness. But it was all too late. This was not their appointed time. The time for their Salvation had passed. If you don’t find Jesus in your lifetime, you will never meet Him. Not the Kind, Loving Savior, but a Condemning Judge. It was all too late.

To my right, I saw millions, no billions of Souls crying out for Justice. Today was the day that they would be Avenged. These were the ones that were slaughtered in their mother’s wombs. They would stand before God as Witnesses to help condemn the evil Dragon, the slayer of Unbaptized children, and its helpers. Today would be the day that these sinners would Reap what their evil deeds have Sown.Their day of reckoning.

To my left, and in an abyss and chasm so wide, that I couldn’t see where it ended, were silhouettes enveloped in darkness.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. But not me.

In the middle of this vast multitude of lifeless people, was a roaring Dragon, engulfed in flames. And the flames were spreading. It would be the only light, in this darkened world, that they would ever get to see.

The air looked thick with heat, and the glow from the flames distorted my vision. It was a fire, unlike any fire that I had ever seen. I looked away.

It was a flame born in the womb of darkness, so terrifying that it was hidden from prying eyes. A flame Ignited by Almighty God. A Warrior born to Avenge the Almighty. From Eternity to Eternity those Flames will burn but not consume. Lost Souls, weeping and gnashing their teeth.

I looked at the flames again, and I saw fear etched into the faces of the damned. A look of wide-eyed terror, as they exchanged fearful glances with each other.

Their mockery and laughter was gone.

Beyond the gates of hell is the graveyard of the damned. The road to it is paved with disobedience, rebellion, murder, lies, theft, adultery, and many other sins that go against sound living.

Beyond the gates of hell you’ll find them. Ghosts dancing in the darkness. A dance of regret. A dance of pain. While living, they Crucified their own Souls.

After today, I will never see that darkened world again. And unlike Lot’s wife, I will never look back. From Eternity to Eternity I will live with Almighty God in Paradise. For my name was found Written in the Book of Life.

The road to Paradise is paved with Obedience and Love for Almighty God.

I will dwell there as His own son. And it will be our Kingdom.
